Highway Design Engineer

Our client, a prestigious organisation within the public sector, is currently seeking a Highway Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of highway improvement schemes, including active travel projects, at various stages of the design process.Key Responsibilities:Developing concepts and feasibility studies for highway improvement schemesCarrying out preliminary and detailed design of active travel schemesCreating technical drawings and plans using Autodesk CAD and Civil 3D modellingCollaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver project objectivesEnsuring compliance with relevant standards and regulationsAttending site visits and providing technical guidance on highway projectsContributing to project reports and documentationManaging project timelines and deliverables efficientlyJob Requirements:Experience in highway engineeringCompetency in Autodesk CAD and Civil 3D modellingStrong understanding of highway design principles and processesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamPossession of a valid driving licence (Category B)Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment with 2 days/week in the Winchester officeAttention to detail and strong communication skillsJob Details:Contract Duration: 6 monthsWorking Hours: 37 hours per weekPlanned Start Date: 12 January 2026Work Location: Hybrid If you are a skilled ..... full job details .....
