Highway Civil Engineer

Your new company A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its expanding highways and infrastructure design team. The organisation delivers a wide range of transport and infrastructure projects across local, national and international markets and is known for its strong technical capability, collaborative culture and commitment to professional development.Your new role As a Civil Engineer within the highways and active travel team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of a broad portfolio of infrastructure schemes. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, leading and supporting junior engineers while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.Typical projects include highway and junction improvements, cycleways and greenways, public transport schemes, drainage and SuDS design, pavement schemes, maintenance programmes and major road or bridge projects. You will also support projects remotely across wider geographical regions where required.Your responsibilities will include:Producing technically sound civil engineering designs in accordance with relevant standards and client requirementsPreparing and checking designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentationSupervising and mentoring junior engineers and taking responsibility for delegated workManaging workload delivery within a small technical teamLiaising with clients, stakeholders and suppliers, including ..... full job details .....
