Key Responsibilities:1. Highly Specialist Dietetics Assessment and Treatment : Provide specialised dietetic assessment and treatment for adults residing in Barking, Dagenham, Redbridge, and Havering.2. Integration into Multi-disciplinary Team:

Represent the nutrition and dietetic service within the Diabetes multi-disciplinary team to ensure a coordinated service delivery. Integrate nutritional advice seamlessly into the treatment program.3. Patient-Centered Care:

Demonstrate sensitivity, non-judgment, and professionalism in dealing with patients.4. Accountability:

Assume professional and legal accountability for all aspects of your work, including the management of patients/clients in your care.5. Communication and Time Management : Possess excellent communication and time management skills to efficiently coordinate tasks and interactions with patients, carers, and fellow health professionals.6. Line Management and Training:

Exhibit experience in line management and student training, contributing to the development of team members.About us

Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.High Cost Area Supplement - Outer LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).Job responsibilities

Qualifications

Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent postgraduate degreeRegistered as a Dietitian with the Health Care Professions CouncilMembership of the British Dietetics Association and specialist groupExperience

Recent clinical experience of at least 3 years with UK NHS experience (minimum 1 year)Experience of working in a community setting, particularly diabetes experienceExperience of working as part of a MDT:Ability to deliver training both internally and externally to other staff groups.Experience of audit/research.Experience of developing protocols and clinical guidelinesKnowledge

An awareness of NHS prioritiesSkills

Clinical knowledge and experience across a variety of disease states and diabetes TherapiesExperience of: Enteral Feeding/Nutritional Support(PEG/PEJ/RIG/NG/NJ feeds)Experience of Type 2 structured educationEffective organisational skills- to be able to prioritise and manage own workload within time and financial constraintsProblem solving approach - to be able to identify, analyse and evaluate a range of complex dietetic and non-dietetic, patient and non-patient related problemsConfident in line management support for junior membersExperience of providing support to Students and actively take part in student trainingExperience of Type 1 structured educationOther
