Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a welcoming Primary School in the York area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned lessons and high-quality learning activities during PPA cover across Key Stage 2.
• Provide PPA cover on Tuesdays in Year 5/6 and Thursdays in Year 3.
• Create a stimulating, inclusive and safe learning environment that encourages pupil engagement and achievement.
• Support pupils'' academic, social and emotional development through effective classroom practice and targeted support.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school''s policies and expectations.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to enhance the educational experience of all pupils.
• Provide feedback to class teachers regarding pupil progress and learning outcomes.

Requirements:

• HLTA Level 4 status or relevant equivalent experience within a primary school setting.
• Previous experience leading whole-class learning and delivering lessons independently.
• Good knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum, particularly within Key Stage 2.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A commitment to supporting children''s learning, well being and development.
