Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Durham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.The successful HLTA will be based within the schools ASC provision supporting both KS1 and KS2 children.The RoleAs a HLTA, you will: Support teaching and learning across the school, working with pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)Lead small group interventions and occasionally cover lessons under the direction of teaching staffAssist with the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activitiesBuild positive relationships with pupils, helping to promote independence, engagement, and personal development The SchoolThe school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
