About the Role:
A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Aylesbury is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in September. The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, leading small groups and covering classes where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Support pupilsandrsquo; academic, social, and emotional development
- Lead intervention groups to raise attainment
- Work closely with teaching staff to assess pupil progress
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils across different year groups
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
