Do you have a passion for supporting children with complex needs and making a genuine difference every day?We are currently recruiting for a committed and compassionate HLTA to join a specialist SEN school in Southwark, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).The Role:As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting both teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver tailored lessons, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover classes. The role requires a proactive and nurturing approach to support pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including communication difficulties, sensory needs, and physical disabilities.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the planning and delivery of personalised learning activitiesLeading small group interventions and covering lessons when requiredProviding 1:1 support for pupils with ASC and PMLDAssisting with communication strategies, including PECS, Makaton, or AAC toolsSupporting pupils with personal care where requiredPromoting engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeingWorking collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staffThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Previous experience working within a SEN setting, ideally with ..... full job details .....
