This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid SEN experience who is confident supporting secondary-aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school are looking for someone who can support learning across the classroom, work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, and help manage behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive way. The HLTA qualification is not essential, but it would be highly desirable. Candidates without the qualification will still be considered if they have clear, strong SEN experience, particularly within SEMH, challenging behaviour, PRUs, alternative provisions, or specialist school settings.
