• Pay: -120130 per day, depending on experience and assignment.

• Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
• Contract: Flexible supply and longer-term opportunities, depending on vacancies.

Your Role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

You will balance prepared whole-class teaching, including PPA cover, with classroom support and one-to-one or small-group interventions.

• Deliver planned lessons and maintain clear classroom routines.
• Lead small-group literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Adapt resources and instructions for pupils with different learning needs.
• Record progress and provide useful feedback to the class teacher.

What We''re Looking For in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• An HLTA qualification or substantial classroom experience suitable for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant role, including whole-class cover.
• A Higher Level Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and confidence leading learning independently.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum and effective assessment.
• Safeguarding awareness and an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
