• Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
• Pay: -120130 per day, depending on experience and assignment.
• Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
• Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
• Contract: Flexible supply and longer-term opportunities, depending on vacancies.

Your Role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

You will take an active role in teaching and learning, balancing whole-class cover with individual and small-group support.

• Deliver planned lessons during PPA or other agreed class cover.
• Maintain positive behaviour and purposeful classroom routines.
• Lead interventions and adapt activities for pupils with SEND or learning gaps.
• Assess understanding and provide clear feedback on pupil progress.

What We''re Looking For in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• An HLTA qualification or substantial classroom experience appropriate to a Higher Level Teaching Assistant role.
• A Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can lead a class confidently and communicate effectively with teachers.
• Primary curriculum knowledge and experience monitoring the impact of interventions.
• Safeguarding awareness and an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
