The Role:Supporting pupils within a dedicated SEND Base across the primary phaseProviding high-quality 1:1 and small-group supportSupporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication and learning difficultiesDelivering targeted interventions and personalised learning activitiesSupporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour and social developmentAdapting activities and learning resources to meet individual needsWorking closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support teamTaking responsibility for learning activities and supporting classroom delivery in an HLTA capacityPromoting independence, confidence and engagement in learningThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience working as an HLTA or experienced Teaching AssistantStrong experience supporting children with SENDConfident working within a SEND Base, specialist provision or mainstream setting with high SEND needsKnowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and learning difficultiesCalm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional regulationExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAble to build strong, positive relationships with pupilsRelevant HLTA, Level 3 or equivalent qualification is desirableWhy Prospero Teaching?Competitive rates of payAccess to a dedicated consultantOpportunities for long-term and permanent positionsSupport with career progressionAccess to CPD and training opportunities ..... full job details .....
