Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your education career? Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Highbridge that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a part-time basis, working 2 days per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils'' learning and development while working closely with teaching staff across the primary age range.
The Role
As a HLTA, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support teaching and learning across the school.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to accelerate progress.
- Assist in planning and preparing engaging learning activities.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Support children with a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- HLTA status or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience working within a primary school setting.
- Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.

Essential Requirements:
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
