About the Role:
A welcoming junior school in Aylesbury is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in January 2026. The successful candidate will support class teachers, lead small groups, and deliver whole-class sessions when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver learning activities to groups and whole classes
- Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEN and EAL
- Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy
- Support assessment and progress tracking
- Provide pastoral care and encourage positive behaviour
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or significant school-based experience
- Good understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Ability to work independently and manage whole-class learning
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
