Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Dumfries Hours: 37 hours per week, term time, 1 year fixed term contract. Salary Details: £23,894.90 per annum We are looking to appoint a passionate and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our growing school. Who we are: Netherlea School is managed within the Applied Care and Development (ACAD) organisation, which is a subsidiary of the proprietor, CareTech Community Services Ltd. It is an all-through independent special school, located in Dumfries. The school supports children and young people who have faced significant disruption to their learning as a result of social, emotional and behavioural needs, autistic spectrum disorder or learning difficulties. The school registration is for up to 16 children and young people between the ages of 8 years old and 18 years old. We are committed to providing a nurturing, safe and vibrant learning environment that fosters a love of learning and enables every student to become the best they can be. As a HLTA you will: Support students: To monitor and promote a high quality of relationships between staff team and students.To provide care and support for individual students and groups in formal, informal and new learning situations. To ensure that students are supported, as appropriate for their specific difficulties, to enable them to participate in learning activities.
