Astro Education are currently supporting a specialist school in South Manchester that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The school provides education and support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With small class sizes and a highly supportive environment, the school is committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential. The Role As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral and support team to provide high-quality learning and behavioural support. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting teaching and learning across small SEN/SEMH classes. Delivering learning activities and interventions as directed by teaching staff. Providing individual and small-group support to pupils. Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs. Helping to create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
