Empowering Learning are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Wigan from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated education professional who is passionate about supporting children''s learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, provide targeted interventions, and lead whole-class learning when required.

• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support pupils across the primary age range to achieve their full potential.
• Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery.
• Assist in monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.

• Hold HLTA status or have equivalent relevant experience.
• Have recent experience working within a primary school setting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Be confident leading whole-class teaching sessions.
• Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Be committed, reliable, and passionate about supporting young learners.
