Higher Level Teaching Assistant - OPAL Lead (Primary School, Deptford)

We are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to take on the role of OPAL Lead at a welcoming Primary School in Deptford, with an immediate start. This is a unique position that combines leadership of structured play with classroom-based support across KS1 and KS2.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will lead the school''s OPAL programme, using their sports background and leadership skills to create meaningful, active play opportunities for pupils during playtimes and lunchtimes. You will also work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant within classrooms, supporting lessons, leading interventions, and working closely with teachers to raise attainment.

This role is perfect for a confident and proactive individual with prior experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or experienced Teaching Assistant ready to step up. Sports experience is highly valued, alongside proven ability to support pupils within a primary setting.
