Vehicle Technician / MechanicLocation: LeicesterContract: Full-Time, TemporaryDuration: 3 Months+Pay Rate: £23.54 per hourThe RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop team on a full-time temporary ongoing basis for an initial 3-months +Working on a varied fleet of light commercial vehicles, HGVs, passenger transport vehicles and specialist plant equipment, you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and plant equipment.Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.Conduct routine vehicle inspections and MOT preparation.Assess vehicle defects and recommend repair solutions.Complete repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.Interpret technical data, service instructions and manufacturer updates.Recover, drive and manoeuvre vehicles and equipment where required.Maintain accurate job cards, timesheets and maintenance records.Requisition and order parts as required.Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety legislation and workshop procedures.Support workshop productivity and efficiency targets.Assist in the training and development of apprentices where required.RequirementsEssentialNVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle ..... full job details .....
