About the Role

Pertemps Milton Keynes seeks two experienced HGV1 Driver (Nights Out/Tramper) £24ph for its client in Milton Keynes. This full-time Class 1 role pays £24.00 hourly, plus a £30 night-out allowance. Working Monday to Friday with 07:00 starts, drivers undertake one to four nights away weekly, trunking goods between depots and distribution centres. No handball is involved, so the focus stays on driving rather than unloading. Candidates need a valid C+E licence, current CPC and digital tachograph cards, plus proven tramping experience. Ongoing or temp-to-perm contracts are available for those who prefer scheduled nights away over daily returns home.

🚚 WHAT'S THE JOB?
You'll be completing business-to-business deliveries throughout the UK, typically making 2-3 drops per day.
No store deliveries.
No heavy lifting.
No dragging pallets around.
Just proper Class 1 driving work with plenty of motorway miles and a professional transport operation.
✅ WHAT YOU'LL NEED
✔ Valid HGV1 (Category C+E) Licence
✔ Driver CPC Qualification Card
✔ Digital Tachograph Card
✔ Minimum 2 years' HGV1 experience
✔ No more than 6 penalty points
✔ Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
✔ Reliable, professional attitude
✔ Happy with regular nights out
