HGV Yard Driver

We are recruiting for HGV Yard Drivers at our Glasgow Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. Contract - Full Time / PermanentLocation - Glasgow Depot (G32 8EY) - role will be yard basedShift Pattern - 5 out 7 - 6pm - 4am (Monday - Friday or Tuesday-Saturday) Hourly Rate - £17.30 per hour, plus £20 per week shunter supplement Overtime (hours worked over contracted) - £19.46 per hour Saturday - £21.92 per hour Sunday - £28.42 per hour Class 1 Yard Driver ? Role and Responsibilities Coordinate the onsite bay movements ensuring that all equipment is fully compliantPuts safety first and respects all other road users.Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.Conduct regular checks on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards. If a vehicle or trailer is not compliant defect to the workshop for repairs or maintenance.Prioritise, assess, and control safety, health, and workplace risks. Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures. Class 1 Shunter Driver Key Skills and Experience Terberg experience (mandatory)HGV Class 1 Licence (mandatory)Current CPC and digital driving card (mandatory)No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs)An effective team member who works well on their own initiativeDemonstrates an excellent attitude to workSelf - motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliableMust be comfortable with the physical ..... full job details .....
