Job Title: HGV Workshop Supervisor Location: Berkshire Salary: £28.25 p/h Hours: 4 on 4 off 05:00 to 16:00hrs Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to step up into a supervisory role, or an established Workshop Supervisor seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced bus engineering environment? We re recruiting on behalf of a leading UK transport operator for a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to oversee a busy engineering team within their bus garage. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic workshop, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance technical responsibilities with team leadership. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Workshop Supervisor Lead, support, and motivate a team of HGV/PSV Technicians and Fitters within the workshop. Carry out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and repair of HGVs/PSVs as required. Ensure all vehicles are maintained to DVSA standards and operators licence requirements. Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, and support technicians with technical queries. Oversee defect management, vehicle diagnostics, and repair quality checks. Maintain accurate workshop records and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Liaise with engineering management regarding fleet performance and maintenance planning. Support the implementation of continuous improvement across the workshop.
