HGV Workshop ManagerLocation: Stoke-on-TrentSalary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 5:45pmThe OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced and hands-on HGV Workshop Manager to lead their busy commercial vehicle workshop in Stoke-on-Trent.This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable HGV professional with strong leadership skills to oversee the maintenance, repair and compliance of a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles. The workshop works across virtually every major HGV manufacturer, make, model and specification, making this a varied and rewarding role for someone with broad technical expertise and strong diagnostic capabilities.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop operations, leading a team of technicians, maintaining compliance standards and ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained efficiently to minimise downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise HGV technicians, mechanics and workshop staff.Plan, schedule and allocate daily maintenance and repair work.Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with DVSA, MOT and Operator Licence requirements.Oversee vehicle inspections, servicing programmes, preventative maintenance and defect repairs.Ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.Manage workshop productivity and ensure efficient use of labour resources.Control workshop costs, including labour, parts and external ..... full job details .....
