HGV Workshop Engineer HGV Workshop Engineer We are looking for qualified and time served HGV Technicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.Our client have been providing first class solutions for many years. It s the standards that are set in the workshop that go a long to ensuring customer satisfaction at the other end.You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling. What cannot be trained however is the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first class service.You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet.You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers-The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) Routine (and preventative) maintenanceMOT preparationScheduled servicing to DVSA standards6 (or 8) weekly inspectionsCorrection of running defectsChassis and fabrication workHydraulics and pneumaticsImprovement of vehicle standardsElectrical and wiring inspections and corrections Ideally you will be fully qualified (City and Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.So what are you waiting for.
