HGV Workshop ControllerSalary: £51,500 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off Days Contract: PermanentThe successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Workshop Controller within an HGV workshop environment and will be confident managing a large team and overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy workshop.This is an off-the-tools management position, so previous Workshop Controller or equivalent workshop management experience is essential. You will have a strong technical background, having previously worked on the tools as an HGV Technician, and will hold a Level 3 HGV qualification.Experience within an HGV main dealer / dealer environment would be highly desirable.The RoleAs HGV Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, leading and supporting a team of up to 20 members of staff.This is a fully off-the-tools position, focused on managing people, workflow and workshop performance while ensuring high standards of safety, quality and customer service are maintained.Your responsibilities will include: Managing, supporting and motivating a team of up to 20 workshop staffCoordinating daily workshop activities and allocating work efficientlyEnsuring vehicles are maintained and repaired to a high standardMonitoring workshop productivity, quality and performanceEnsuring health and safety and company procedures are followedSupporting the development and training of workshop staffLiaising with other departments to ensure ..... full job details .....
