HGV Technician

HGV Technician Location: Derby Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, Days (37 hours per week) Salary: Up to £20.71 per hour We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Derby on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicles and associated equipment including sweepers and RCVs.Key Responsibilities Carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV and LCV vehiclesDiagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faultsUndertake welding and fabrication work where requiredWork on a range of fleet vehicles including Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) and sweepersEnsure all work is completed to a high standard in line with health and safety requirementsParticipate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks) Additional Duties and Benefits On-call standby rota with standard standby payment and time and a quarter for call-out workOpportunity to work overtime, including Bank Holidays27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising to 32 days after 5 years serviceOngoing training and development opportunitiesClear career progression pathways within the organisationGreat work life balance Requirements Proven experience as an HGV TechnicianStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsExperience with electrical and hydraulic systemsWelding and fabrication experience desirableAbility to work independently and ..... full job details .....
