HGV Technician

Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £50,458 per annum / £24 per hour
Shifts: Various Shift Patterns Available - 4 on 4 off days and nights OR Mon - Fri nights
Contract: Permanent
Overtime paid at 1.5x

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and established fleet maintenance operation in Doncaster.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking to work within a professional fleet environment, with the opportunity to work across a wide range of leading commercial vehicle brands.

The Role

• As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of a diverse commercial vehicle fleet.
• You''ll work on a variety of manufacturers, including Scania Volvo Mercedes-Benz DAF Renault MAN
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
• Servicing and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out inspections and safety checks
• Fault finding and defect rectification
• Working on braking, suspension, steering and other vehicle systems
• Carrying out repairs to a high standard and within required timescales
• Completing maintenance records and relevant paperwork
• Ensuring vehicles are maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition
• Working in line with health and safety and company procedures
• Supporting the wider fleet maintenance team when required

About You

• We''re looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, LGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on HGVs or a similar commercial vehicle fleet
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
