Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a £22 per hour HGV Technician role in Avonmouth?

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter looking for a permanent position with an excellent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, helping provide a great work-life balance.

You''ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of HGVs, trucks, LGVs and trailers, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and on the road.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs, trucks and trailers
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance
• Fault finding and defect repairs
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
• Completing repairs to manufacturer and DVSA standards
• Using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing job cards and workshop documentation
• Working efficiently to maximise vehicle uptime
• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional workshop
• Working as part of a skilled commercial vehicle technician team

We''re looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter with:

• Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Good electrical fault-finding ability
• A professional and reliable approach to work
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work a 4 on 4 off day shift

Desirable:

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• IRTEC accreditation
• Main dealership or fleet workshop experience
• Manufacturer training
