About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Dunstable. Ideally suited to a technician with main dealer experience, this role will also consider an HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician with strong all-round HGV experience and computer aided diagnostic skills. What You Will Be Doing

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs to manufacturer and DVSA standards
• Using computer aided diagnostic systems to identify and resolve faults as an experienced HGV Mechanic
• Completing inspections and planned maintenance accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate workshop records and service documentation
• Upholding workshop safety and cleanliness standards throughout each shift

Pay and Benefits

• Up to £21.00 per hour depending on experience
• Overtime paid at time and a half

• Rotating shift pattern with an early finish on Fridays

What You Will Need

To be considered as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter within a commercial vehicle environment
• Level 3 HGV Technician qualification or equivalent
• Excellent diagnostic skills including computer aided diagnostics
• Full UK driving licence — HGV Class 1 desirable
