HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Hyde. This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to earn up to £50,(Apply online only) per year while benefiting from flexible start times and the option of a 4-day working week.

Working as an HGV Technician, you''ll carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections on a varied fleet of HGVs and trailers using modern diagnostic equipment in a supportive, professional workshop.

Key Responsibilities

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trucks and trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete inspections, PMIs and MOT preparation to DVSA standards
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
• Maintain high workshop and health & safety standards
• Work as part of an experienced and supportive workshop team

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this HGV Technician role, you will need:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
• HGV Class 1 / Class 2 licence or IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential
