HGV Technician – Excellent Salary & Mercedes-Benz Training

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Kidderminster.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a £52,(Apply online only) basic salary, overtime paid at 1.5x, manufacturer training and excellent long-term career prospects.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 12:30pm–10:00pm, giving you a consistent late-shift working pattern with no weekend working.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles within a professional workshop environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and technical faults
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
• Completing inspections and identifying worn or faulty components
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards
• Using vehicle diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems
• Completing job cards, service records and relevant documentation
• Working as part of a skilled workshop team to keep vehicles on the road
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety within the workshop

What We''re Looking For

We''re looking for an experienced HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance.

Essential:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Vehicle Repair or equivalent
• Good mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable but not essential:

• Mercedes-Benz experience
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• IRTEC accreditation
• Experience using commercial vehicle diagnostic systems
