HGV Technician

Position: HGV TechnicianLocation: Barking, EssexSalary: 45-55K DOEHours of Work: Days - 07:00-16:00 Monday to Friday (Saturday overtime, as requested) We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our client''s maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills within a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our client''s fleet. DutiesConduct routine inspections and diagnostic assessments on HGVs to identify faults or potential issues.Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs.Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently.Maintain detailed records of work carried out and parts utilised for each vehicle.Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.RequirementsProven experience in vehicle or equipment repair, preferably within heavy goods vehicle maintenance. IRTEC qualification preferable.Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is essential.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in vehicle maintenance.Experience with assembly, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks.Ability to ..... full job details .....
