Gleeson is proud to be partnered with a well established Transport and Warehousing business looking to further its Transport operation.They are looking for a HGV/ Trailer Technician looking to take a key role within the operation, This is a hands-on role where your expertise will play a vital part in ensuring our trailer fleet remains safe, compliant, and roadworthy. Job Title: HGV Technician / Workshop TechnicianLocations: South Birmingham Salary : 55,000 +Overtime and VanDuties:Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance on HGV trailers in line with manufacturer guidelines and company standardsPerform thorough inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential safety issuesComplete mechanical, structural, and bodywork repairs to minimise downtime and maintain fleet reliabilityAccurately diagnose mechanical, braking, suspension, lighting, and electrical faultsRectify defects efficiently to ensure trailers remain safe, roadworthy, and compliant with legal requirementsRecord all findings, repairs, and corrective actions in line with company proceduresPrepare HGV trailers for MOT inspections, ensuring all components meet DVSA requirementsIdentify and address potential MOT failures in advanceMaintain high compliance standards through attention to detail and adherence to legislationMaintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop vanEnsure tools, equipment, and consumables are managed effectively and replenished as requiredCarry out daily vehicle and equipment checks to ..... full job details .....
