HGV Technician We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our Service Department team based at our head office premises in Askam-In-Furness.Joining our well established family business, who provide automotive services to clients across the North. Promoting operational excellence and always seeking to improve our workshop facilities to meet the demand of the ever-evolving automotive industry.Our service department operates a fully equipped workshop undertaking service, repair, maintenance and MOT''s to a variety of cars, vans, light and heavy commercial vehicles.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, ensuring that they are safe and roadworthy at all times.This role would may also suit an experienced vehicle mechanic looking to progress into a HGV technician role. Full Time - 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (no overtime or on-call requirement) Location - Askam in Furness Salary - £35,000 to £42,000 per year dependant on experience Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on HGVs to identify any faults or defects. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform repairs as necessary. Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly. Perform road tests to ensure that repairs have been carried out effectively.
