HGV Technician

Elddis Transport is a well-established haulage and distribution company based in Consett.We require a qualified HGV technician to carry out general maintenance of our trailer fleet, company vehicles and ancillary equipment.Working on average 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern (dayshift/backshift, plus 1 in 4 weeks nightshift).Saturday morning shift to be worked on a rolling basis (1 in 6)._ Duties include: _ Routine (and preventative) maintenance MOT preparation Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards 6 weekly inspections Correction of running defects Chassis and fabrication work Hydraulics and pneumatics Improvement of vehicle standards Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections_ Requirements: _Fully qualified (City and Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £41,300.00-£45,800.00 per yearBenefits: Company pension Cycle to work scheme Employee discount Free parking Life insurance On-site parkingSchedule: Day shift Monday to FridayWork Location: In personReference ID: ..... full job details .....
