HGV Technician - GranthamBasic Salary: (£19.50 per hour) Overtime: £29.25 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week, including a paid 30-minute breakShift PatternMonday to Friday, alternating weekly: Early shift: 06:00-14:00 Late shift: 14:00-22:00Every other Saturday is required and paid at the overtime rate. Additional overtime opportunities and call-out/standby duties are available.The RoleWe are recruiting an experienced, Level 3 qualified HGV Technician to join a fleet maintenance workshop in Grantham.You will carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on heavy goods vehicles and trailers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role offers ongoing manufacturer training, professional development and opportunities for career progression.Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailers. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete major and minor repairs. Identify worn or defective components in accordance with DVSA standards. Work closely with the workshop team to diagnose faults and plan repairs. Complete job cards, maintenance records and warranty documentation accurately. Provide roadside repair support in the event of breakdowns, as required. Maintain workshop stock records and keep the working environment clean and organised.
