You will perform essential inspection, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work across our heavy commercial vehicles, municipal refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), and plant equipment. -24.12 per hour with an aditional 50p if you hold a HGV licence- Shifts 06:30-to 15:30 and 09:00 to 18:00 Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair: Carry out routine safety inspections, servicing, and mechanical/electrical repairs in compliance with DVSA standards. Diagnostics: Troubleshoot chassis systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical faults on specialist municipal bodies and bin-lifting mechanisms. MOT Preparation: Prepare, present, and inspect vehicles for annual DVSA MOT tests to ensure 100% fleet compliance. Defect Rectification: Respond to driver defect reports promptly to minimize operational downtime. Record Keeping: Complete digital work orders, time sheets, and compliance documentation accurately.
