Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic LGV Technician to join our team in Crime Rigg, Durham.You''ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing large goods vehicles (LGVs) to ensure they are safe, roadworthy, and compliant with transport regulations. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing routine servicing, and carrying out complex mechanical and electrical repairs on trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance of LGVs in line with DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) standards Performing necessary repairs and maintenance on engine components, transmission, brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and electrical systemsCarrying out scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wheel torques, and brake inspections to prevent breakdownsAfter repairs, test vehicles to ensure that all issues have been addressed and that the vehicle operates safely and efficientlyConduct MOT preparation and post-test inspections to ensure vehicles meet legal ..... full job details .....
