HGV Technician – Rotating Shifts

Northampton | £45,760–£52,624 Per Annum DOE

Description

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Northampton.

Salary – £45,760–£52,624 per annum, depending on experience.

Rotating Shift Pattern

Early Shift

• Monday–Thursday: 06:00–15:30.
• Friday: 06:00–14:30.

Late Shift

• Monday–Thursday: 12:30–22:00.
• Friday: 12:30–21:00.

Saturday

• 07:00/08:00–12:00, paid at overtime rates.
• 44 hours per week.

The HGV Technician Role

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete defect repairs and use diagnostic equipment.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and workshop standards.
• Complete job cards and repair documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
