Location: Barnsley
Salary: £44,360 per annum based on contracted hours + 1-in-3 Saturday mornings
Rates: £20.33/hr | £30.50/hr overtime | £40.66/hr before 7am
Hours: 40 hours + 1-in-3 Saturday mornings
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Rotating early and late shifts
Are you an experienced HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent overtime earning potential?
We''re looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop.

Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Week 2: Monday-Thursday, 12pm-8:30pm; Friday, 11:30am-8pm
1-in-3 Saturdays: 8am-12pm

The Role
You''ll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, diagnostics and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
·Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults
·Carry out servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
·Complete repairs to manufacturer standards
·Identify faults and report findings accurately
·Complete job cards and workshop documentation
·Work as part of a professional, supportive workshop team

Pay & Overtime
·£20.33 per hour - first 40 hours
·£30.50 per hour - any hours over 40
·£40.66 per hour - hours worked before 7am
·£44,360 per annum based on contracted hours + 1-in-3 Saturdays
·Saturday mornings paid at £30.50 per hour
·Additional overtime available on top of the advertised salary

About You
·Experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
·Strong commercial vehicle maintenance and repair experience
·Good mechanical and diagnostic skills
·Reliable, flexible and a strong team player
·Able to work efficiently while maintaining a right-first-time approach

Desirable experience: HGV Class 1 or 2 licence, hydraulics/cranes, tippers, tipper grabs, beavertails and modern diagnostic systems.
