Vehicle Maintenance Technician - Back Shift

Are you a fully skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician looking for a permanent back-shift position?

We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join an established Engineering Team as a fully skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician based in Atherstone.

As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and reliability of a company fleet of vehicles and trailers, carrying out servicing, planned maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure the fleet remains safe, legal and fit for duty.
This is a dedicated back-shift position, with no rotation onto nights.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
·Completing scheduled servicing and maintenance of vehicles and trailers
·Completing signed service and inspection records
·Completing defect reports and associated paperwork
·Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing
·Working to a standard that supports first-time MOT passes
·Carrying out ad-hoc vehicle repairs
·Investigating and rectifying vehicle defects
·Ensuring the correct and effective use of tools, plant and ancillary equipment
·Maintaining good housekeeping standards
·Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by management

About You
The successful applicant should have:
·Previous experience in a similar Vehicle Maintenance Technician role
·Applicable licences and/or vocational training
·City & Guilds Level 3 HGV
·Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment
·Experience with welding
·Basic DC electrical troubleshooting skills
·A valid UK driving licence
·The ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components
·A self-motivated and reliable approach to your work

An LGV C&E / Class 1 licence would be advantageous.
