HGV Repair and Refurbishment Estimator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Vehicle Repair and Refurbishment Estimator to join an established specialist commercial vehicle operation.Working predominantly with refuse collection and waste-management vehicles, you will assess vehicle condition and damage, identify repair and refurbishment requirements, and produce accurate, competitive quotations.This is a varied and practical role where your technical knowledge and commercial judgement will directly influence the quality, efficiency and profitability of each project.The RoleYou will work closely with technicians, bodyshop professionals, suppliers, customers and management to establish the full scope of work required on each vehicle.From initial inspection through to completion, you will ensure estimates accurately reflect the required labour, parts, materials and specialist services while identifying the most commercially appropriate repair or refurbishment solution.Key responsibilities will include:Inspecting specialist commercial vehicles and assessing their overall conditionIdentifying mechanical, bodywork, accident-damage and refurbishment requirementsProducing accurate and competitive estimates and customer quotationsCalculating labour hours, parts, materials and subcontractor costsLiaising with technicians, mechanics and bodyshop staff to confirm the required workObtaining and comparing prices from parts suppliers and specialist subcontractorsPreparing clear and ..... full job details .....
