HGV Refuse Collection Driver

Our public sector client based in Stowmarket, Suffolk is currently seeking an experienced HGV Refuse Collection Driver to join their team as soon as possible! This will be a temporary opportunity, working on going until further notice. There is also the opportunity to gain a contract after 12 weeks depending on performance. The hours of work will be 6:30am-3pm Monday to Friday with a pay rate of 15.52 per hour. Duties of the role will include:- Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed Complete relevant paperwork in real time Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles. Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users What you''ll need to succeed Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points) Driver CPC Card (TACO) Driver Qualification Card DVLA Check Willingness to help with refuse loading while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement Good communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated Willingness to undertake tasks Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff Please ..... full job details .....
