HGV Mechanic
Workshop Recruitment is seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join a well-established, family-run business operating across the South of England. This Twilight Shift role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team maintaining a fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment to the highest safety and compliance standards.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Mechanic looking for long-term stability, training opportunities, and a strong team culture.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections to manufacturer and DVSA standardsDiagnose faults across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systemsPrepare vehicles for MOT testing and maintain high pass ratesComplete job cards and time recording accuratelySupport planned maintenance schedules across the fleetEnsure all work is completed safely and cost-effectivelyTravel between sites when requiredMaintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safetySkills and Experience RequiredRecognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle or plant engineeringExperience working as an HGV Mechanic or similar roleStrong understanding of pneumatic braking systemsConfident carrying out electrical fault finding and repairsAbility to inspect vehicles to MOT standardsGood organisation and communication skillsFlexible attitude with willingness to learn new skillsFull UK Driving Licence requiredWhat s on Offer36.5-hour working weekWorkplace pension schemeLife assurance (2x salary)28 days holiday ..... full job details .....
