HGV Mechanic

Join our team at Collard Group Ltd, a prominent waste management and demolition company in the South of England. We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to contribute to our operations and maintain our fleet of vehicles and equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure vehicle repairs, inspections and servicing are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and VOSA requirements in a safe and cost effective mannerAssist in the fault diagnosis processEnsure vehicles are presented for MOT test and we maintain a 98% pass rateEnsure that the company time recording procedures are complied with and that job cards are completed accuratelyThe Successful Candidates will:Have served a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle or plant engineeringBe confident with pneumatic breaking systems and electrical repairsBe able to inspect a vehicle to MOT standardsBe able to plan and implement maintenance schedulesBe able to adapt and take on new skills and approaches and participate in training and developmentHave good communication, organisation and team working skillsHave a good understanding of health and safetyMust be willing to travel between sites (Reading and Chilton)Have a full UK Driving LicenceWhat’s on Offer45-hour workweek with overtime opportunitiesLife assurance (2 x Salary)28 days holiday (including bank holidays)Free full company branded personal protection equipment (PPE)Company VehicleFree parkingSupportive team environment with company social eventsApply for role
