About the Role
A full-time, on-site HGV Mechanic position is available in Beech, Stoke-on-Trent (ST4), offering up to £44,200 per annum. Working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:30, this role involves diagnosing faults, performing preventative and routine maintenance, and preparing vehicles for MOT. The successful candidate will service and repair a variety of makes and models, predominantly 18 tonnes and over. Key skills include independent problem-solving, diagnostic proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively. Applicants should possess a can-do approach and relevant experience in HGV mechanics. Key Responsibilities
- Running the diagnostics of faults within HGV’s and analysing where possible
- Preventative and routing maintenance across all vehicles
- MOT preparation, presentation, and servicing
- General repairs and fixing any faults
- You will work on a variety of makes and models, predominantly 18 tonnes and over
- A can-do attitude is a must, with the ability to work well as part of a team, and happy to support colleagues where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Willing to learn and adapt well under pressure
- Positive and can-do attitude willing to go above and beyond
- HGV licence advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to create and maintain working relationships with colleagues and customers
