They will work to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, the legal require-ments of the Councils Operators Li-cence, DVSA requirements and internal Council policies and procedures. To provide support to all the Council Services, we operate an alternating weekly shift rota of early and late shifts to cover the hours of 6.30am - 6pm at each depot (1 week early shift, 1 week late shift). The ideal candidate will have: City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering, or equivalent Qualified to VOSA standards for HGV inspections and tests Qualified MOT Nominated Tester class 4,5,7 to support the full time MOT retail and Taxi Nominated Tester. Experience of conducting maintenance, inspection, repair and test services for a diverse fleet including vehicles such as light vehicle van/Tipper''s, Small Plant machines, Sweepers, Waste Tankers, and Large Refuse Vehicles.
