HGV Mechanic / HGV TechnicianLocation: Croydon / South LondonHours: Monday to Friday, optional overtime availableContract: PermanentThis is AFR are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join a growing commercial fleet operation.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more ownership than a standard workshop role. Our client is bringing more vehicle maintenance in-house and is looking for a confident, self-managing technician who can help maintain and improve a mixed commercial fleet.The RoleYou will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repairs, inspections, MOT preparation, defect management and keeping the fleet safe, compliant and operational.You will work closely with transport, operations and compliance teams, with genuine scope to influence how the in-house workshop develops.Key DutiesService, maintain and repair HGVs and specialist commercial vehiclesComplete PMI inspections and MOT preparationDiagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faultsManage vehicle defects and planned maintenanceMaintain accurate compliance and maintenance recordsLiaise with suppliers and specialist contractors where neededSupport workshop organisation and continuous improvementWhat We''re Looking ForNVQ Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalentProven HGV / LGV maintenance experienceStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience with PMIs and MOT preparationGood understanding of fleet complianceAble to ..... full job details .....
