HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established specialist engineering and tanker repair business with the recruitment of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician. The company has operated for over 30 years and provides specialist maintenance and repair services to the road transport, petrochemical and gas industries. Permanent, full-time position based in Grangemouth. Salary From £40,000 depending on experience + paid overtime Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailers. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults. Complete vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy. Carry out repairs to running gear and associated vehicle components. Work on specialist tanker and transport equipment where required. Complete relevant maintenance and inspection documentation accurately. Identify defects and carry out repairs efficiently. Maintain high standards of workmanship and health and safety. Skills and Experience Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or similar. Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills. Experience maintaining commercial vehicles, HGVs or trailers. Road tanker experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Good understanding of preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections. Reliable with a strong attention to detail. Able to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
