HGV MechanicLocation: FleetSalary: £26.00 per hourOur client who specialise in waste management, recycling, and construction services are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their late shift team, carrying out maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs to ensure maximum fleet availability.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and VOSA requirementsAssist with fault diagnosis and rectification across the fleetEnsure vehicles are prepared and presented for MOT testingComplete job cards and workshop documentation accuratelyFollow company time recording proceduresWork safely and efficiently whilst maintaining high workshop standardsSupport fleet reliability and minimise vehicle downtimeRequirementsPrevious experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle TechnicianRecognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle or plant engineeringConfident working with pneumatic braking systems and electrical repairsAbility to inspect vehicles to MOT standardsExperience planning and implementing maintenance schedulesExperience working on Volvo trucks would be advantageousLevel 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent would be desirableIRTEC accreditation would be advantageousGood understanding of Health and Safety requirementsFull UK Driving LicenceWillingness to travel between sites when requiredSalary and Benefits£26.00 per hourMonday to Thursday: 17:00 - 02:00Friday finish typically ..... full job details .....
