HGV TechnicianLocation: SloughSalary: CompetitiveOur client is a leading provider of waste management and environmental services, operating a modern fleet of commercial vehicles across the UK.They are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their workshop team, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to maximise fleet availability and minimise downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs in line with manufacturer and regulatory standardsPrepare and present vehicles for annual MOT testingDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faultsComplete service documentation and workshop records accuratelyMaintain a safe working environment in line with Health and Safety proceduresSupport apprentice technicians and contribute to the wider workshop teamProvide roadside assistance where requiredParticipate in ongoing training and support operational requirements across other sites when necessaryRequirementsCity and Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in HGV Maintenance (or significant relevant experience)Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsAbility to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficientlyGood understanding of Health and Safety legislation and workshop best practiceExcellent communication and team working skillsHGV Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card would be advantageousSalary and BenefitsCompetitive salaryRotating shifts: Week 1: ..... full job details .....
